5. THE RULE OF THE FILM

The entity finally spoke.

It's voice sounded like dozens of overlapping actors.

"Stories survive because audiences suffer for them."

Meera discovered the truth hidden inside old theatre records.

Blackridge Manor's owner, director Elias Verne, had become obsessed with creating the "perfect horror film."

He believed fear captured souls.

During the final screening in 1979, he locked the audience inside and used experimental hypnotic sound frequencies hidden in the soundtrack.

But something went wrong.

The fear became real.

The audience's collective terror created something alive inside the film itself.

Something that needed viewers to exist.

Every time someone watched the reel, the movie rewrote itself.

Adding new victim's.

New scenes.

New endings.

The film wasn't haunted.

The film was alive.

And it wanted immortality.
